The ToGo sofa: This 70s design is an evergreen

In 1973, the Togo sofa made its debut at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in Paris with a low, wavy, caterpillar-like design that broke the traditional sofa frames. In recognition of its iconic yet affordable creation, it was even awarded the prestigious Rene Gabriel Prize.

Since the sofa was a success, manufacturer Ligne Roset fully relied on Ducaroy's vision and gave him the freedom to develop modular pieces that complemented the original Togo sofa. Soon, in the 1970s, homeowners had access to a variety of configurations, including sofas, ottomans, armchairs, and chairs, which gave them the versatility they craved to create their own living room seating.

In the 70s and 80s, the Togo sofa became increasingly popular and became a favorite of interior designers and design enthusiasts alike. Its distinctive look with the bubbly shape and unique texture made it an eye-catching piece of furniture that could transform any room.
