Sustainable refurbishment of workstations
As part of its sustainability strategy, an internationally active technology company aims to use office resources responsibly and reduce emissions. For our client, Fenyx worked with specialist partners to take on the technical refurbishment of 1,250 office swivel chairs across several sites in Germany. The aim was to retain existing furniture, conserve resources and at the same time meet the high quality standards of a modern working environment. Over a project period of six months, every chair was systematically reworked — from deep cleaning to replacing worn components such as gas springs, mesh backs, seat cushions and armrests. Delivery was structured and smooth, with a consistently high standard of quality throughout.

50,000 kg of CO₂ saved through targeted reuse
Professional refurbishment saved around 50,000 kg of CO₂ — equivalent to the annual energy consumption of roughly 12 petrol-powered vehicles. The measures show how environmental awareness and functional workplace design can be successfully combined.
Existing furniture retained — sustainably modernised
Instead of a complete new furnishing, the client chose to extend the life of the existing furniture. Combining technical modernisation with value retention created a high-quality, future-proof solution — in line with the company’s sustainability targets.
Delivered without interrupting operations
The refurbishment was carried out in close coordination with each site and integrated into ongoing operations so that workflows were not disrupted. Precise planning, clear processes and efficient partner coordination meant the project was completed successfully and on schedule.

"I look forward to advising you on the sustainable transformation of your workplace."
