Four sites inventoried digitally ahead of a merger
As part of a strategic site consolidation, several Berlin units of a leading international consulting firm were to be brought together at one central location. For our client we carried out the complete digital inventory of four Berlin office floors. Our scope covered the systematic capture of 3,469 furniture and equipment items — including location, quantities, condition assessment and classification of refurbishment potential. We also appraised realistic market residual values so that well-founded commercial decisions could be made about reuse, donation or sale.

Inventory captured by quantity and condition — as the basis for recovery
In total, 3,469 furniture and equipment items were recorded, classified and appraised. Alongside quantities and condition, the focus was on identifying refurbishment potential and estimating realistic residual market values.
Over 70% with onward-use potential — thanks to condition and market value analysis
The analysis showed that the majority of the equipment could be reused internally, donated or sold. Objective condition assessment and market value analysis gave the client a solid basis for decisions in every item category.
Recovery strategy enables CO₂ savings and cost transparency
The captured data formed the basis for delivering the site consolidation in a way that made sense both environmentally and commercially. Resources were conserved, CO₂ was saved and cost advantages were realised compared with a complete new furnishing.
