Sustainable clearance of more than 2,500 workstations
The SIGNAL IDUNA Group is one of Germany’s largest insurance companies. Its Dammtor site in Hamburg was used by around 1,800 employees over many years and served as a central administrative location. As part of the move to the new campus at Kapstadtring, Fenyx took on the complete clearance of seven building sections. The aim was to recover the extensive stock of furniture and technical equipment in a way that was both commercially sound and sustainable — with a clear structure and transparent delivery.

A high-volume project handled professionally
For the Dammtor site, Fenyx developed a recovery concept that was commercially viable and logistically precise. Clear process structures, targeted use of resources and central management allowed the extensive inventory to be handled efficiently — with consistently high quality in sorting, documentation and execution.
32% remarketed — the remainder properly recycled
A significant share of the furniture was kept in use: 32% was successfully resold to dealers. The remaining stock was recycled in a resource-efficient and fully compliant way — a solution that combines environmental responsibility with commercial efficiency.
15% more cost-efficient than conventional disposal
Structured planning, optimised logistics and a consistent recovery strategy meant the project was not only completed on schedule but also delivered around 15% more cheaply than conventional standard disposal.
